The newspaper "Eleftherotypia" and the "Spanish Institute of Sociology and Research", coorganized a survey in December 1993, in order to sketch a profile of the sexuality of the newspaper's readers (!). The 1622 people who participated in the reseach (regardless of sexual orientation), were asked questions on several topics one of which was "What do you believe about homosexuals?"
Here are the results as they were published (in Eleftherotypia in summer 1994, and from there copied) in "O Pothos", issue 9, spring-summer 1995:

19% of the readers ansewred that homosexuality is a desease, 50.5% of them answered homosexuality is normal, 16.9% of them believe that homosexuals are degenerate, while 13.6% of them either did not answer the question or said they did not know.
Women had more positive attitudes than men, since 53.6% of the women said homosexuality is normal, while only 47.3% of the men said the same.
Age group 30-39 had the most positive attitude: 59.9% of them said homosexuality is normal, while, surprisingly, of age groups 14-24 and 25-29 only 47.5% and 49.8% respectively, said homosexuality is normal.
