This issue:
The Auckland Pride Centre has taken the initiative to call a meeting to discuss the establishment of a glbt advisory group to work with the Auckland City Council.
While the Auckland election campaign returned a generally conservative council, during the local government election campaign Les Mills, Mayor of Auckland, was reported in 'express' as saying: "I am supportive of setting up a gay and lesbian advisory group to work with the council."
Given this clear support by the Mayor the Pride Centre considers it important to take up the offer. The initial meeting will on Wednesday 24th January at 7.30pm at the Pride Centre.
None really except to say New Year's Eve in Auckland was extremely hot and sweaty.. Well I suppose that's what happens when too many people try to squeeze into too small a space...
