The Coalition For Gay And Lesbian Rights In New Mexico

General Election is November 3, 1998. Congressional District 1 voters have a special election to fill the late Rep. Steve Schiff's office on June 23, 1998.

Those who hold elective office have the power to affect your life. You have the power to affect who is elected.

In 1992, the Voter News Service reported that 3.2% of exiting voter self-identified as gay. The Voter News Service exiting poll data in 1996 reported that figure had increased to 4.8% of all voters. People who are gay have more and more influence in the electoral process. You can be one of those who has a voice.

The Human Rights Election Fund, the Lesbian & Gay Political Alliance and the Coalition for Gay and Lesbian Rights in New Mexico sponored the voter guide.
