We are writing to ask if you would be willing to facilitate a workshop/s during the conference. We are not asking for experts (though we wouldn't turn them away!). We'd just like you to be reasonably interested in the subject and willing to help a small group talk about it. It isn't difficult or frightening, and a lot of the people running the workshops at this conference are likely to be doing it for the first time. There will be an introductory session for people running workshops on the Wednesday evening. Alternatively, you could give a presentation followed by a discussion and/or questions, or a structured workshop. We welcome workshops like this too!! We are a small group organising a large conference and we'd appreciate as many offers to run workshop/s as can be organised, so please volunteer if you possibly can. Please don't forget to register as well as volunteering to run a workshop!! In order to keep the registration fees as low as possible, we are unable to pay workshop expenses. It would help us greatly with our planning if you could let us know if you intend to run a workshop/s _as_ _soon_ _as_ _possible_. Please send us a short blurb to say what the workshop will be about so we can include it in the conference programme. At the last conference the issue of restricted workshops, eg. women only, men only workshops was discussed. Following the suggestion made then, the policy of this conference is that any workshop facilitator who wants to restrict their workshop must explain why in the blurb. Please also let us know which days you will be at the conference, whether you would like equipment provided, and if you would be willing to repeat a workshop - subject to popular demand? Thanks for your help! We hope to hear from you soon. Best wishes Janis & Nicky, Workshop Co-ordinators PS. If you'd like to discuss any ideas or have any queries please feel free to phone either Janis on 031-552 6583 or Micky on 031-346 4233. You can leave a message at either number if we aren't in to take your call. Please mail workshops suggestions to: Edinburgh Bisexual Group 58a Broughton Street Edinburgh EH1 3SA or via email to: bicon94@ed.ac.uk If you would like an registration form emailed to you once they become available, please send your email address to bicon94@ed.ac.uk
