Freedom Fair 98 is a gay life and style event whose attendance will be in the order of 3,500 people, with 200 stands representing all facets of gay life. The Freedom Fair is important because it is the only National Exhibition that gives gay and gay friendly businesses a major opportunity to promote their services and products to the gay community. Gay Night on the Adult Channel will be attending the Freedom Fair this year. In addition to helping with the promotion of the event they will be showing their gay magazine programme on their stand in the Little Soho section. The Gay Night film crew will be producing a large part of their programming at the show An interesting contingent of American tour operators, including Wind Jammers Cruises and resorts in Costa Rica, have confirmed their attendance for this years Freedom Fair. Also tempting show goers will be most of the UK's gay travel firms including Earth Travel, Sensations and In Touch. Other travel organisations from Portugal, New Zealand and Spain will be attending The Fridge, the ever popular Brixton night club, have confirmed their attendance at the Freedom Fair. In addition to taking stand space the Fridge will be providing the lighting for the Main stage and Talent contest. Undercover record A&R men have infiltrated the guest list for the Freedom Fair. A sharp eyed performer recognised the names from this years guest list. This has caused excitement among the performers obviously hoping for the "big time". Other record companies, TV production houses, Management agents, Radio and TV companies have been more up-front in asking for their tickets. As explained by Adrian Flack, organiser of the entertainment programme, "Many of the acts at the Freedom Fair have the potential to be the next Lilly". Earth Travel the London based travel company have once again, very generously donated a door prize for this years Freedom Fair. Two lucky people will be winging their way to Ibza this summer.
