Hildebrand, who says he is an admirer of the gay former UN general-secretary Dag Hammarskjoeld, is right now producing a UN-financed documentary, which is to be shown by TV-stations world-wide when The UN celebrates its 50th anniversary 24 October later this year. In this movie he is portraying the young generation in eight different countries and the hope for the future they represent. In his production he has mostly focused upon youth themes. He has portrayed the reality of youths in Thailand and Sweden. His movie Stockholmsnatt (Stockholm-night) depicting young-generation-violance has had a major impact on the discussion of youth-violance in Sweden. In the interview Hildebrand admits that he has felt a strong sexual attraction to several of the young male actors in his movies, but that he never has been sexually involved with any of his main characters. He further explains that he is mainly attracted to young men and not to men of his own age. His relations he describes as short but passionate. They did, however, never develop into long-term relationships. His longest relation, lasting for almost five years, he appears to have had with a women. Hildebrand, who's father was head of a fire-brigade, reveals in an almost Fassbinder-vision-style his childhood attraction to the firemen at the brigade: - Everyday I saw these young virile men. I spent lot of time in their company - at work and when they worked out. It was then I saw how fit and muscular their bodies were. Army of Lovers member Alaxander Bard, who made the music to Stockholmsnatt, applauses Hildebrand's decision to come out. Bjorn
