The statement is said to be based on the Bible and the message is, that propaganda for homosexuality has to be counteracted. The Church expresses its support for all individuals who are fighting against this deadly sin within themselves. It is also opposed to all attempts to describe homosexuality as a normal human orientation and a free choice. As a result of its interpretation of the Bible The Latvian Lutheran Church has declared, that no gay man or lesbian can hold a position within the Church. Further the Communian is denied gay men and lesbians until they repent their sins. /Bjorn
