  CANDIDATE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT WANTS GAYS LOCKED UP

  A member of the neo-fascist party of Italy (MSI), running for a seat
  in the European parliament in the elections next month has said that
  gays ought to be locked up in concentration camps.
  His statement has embaressed the Italian government of mr. Berlusconi,
  of which the MSI is a part.

  The neo-fascist making the statement works as a journalist for a newspaper
  owned by the Italian prime-minister, who is also a media-mogul.
  "They lead horrible lives. I would lock them all up for life in
  concentration camps" mr.Buscaroli said about homosexuals. The official
  MSI-viewpoint on gays is that they have nothing against them.

  In related news: Dutch Christian Democrat politician and former minister
  for transport mrs. May-Weggen, who is also running for a seat in the
  European parliament has declared herself strongly against accepting
  Forza Italia, mr Berlusconi's party, in the Christian Democrat faction
  of the European parliament. This is contrary to opinions expressed by her
  Belgian Christian Democrats collegues. Berlusconi embaressed himself
  further this weekend by saying that Mussolini (Fascist Italian dictator
  from 1922(?)-1944) "has done some good things too".
