On June 28, 1996, The League for Peace & Spiritual Life of Surabaya held a worship service at Henny Beauty College, 82 Jalan Makam Peneleh in Surabaya at 7 P.M. 2. IPOOS/Gaya Betawi celebrated their 4th birthday with a party held at KLIMAXX Disco, Jakarta on June 16. The theme for the party was "The Betawi Spectacle". 3. MEETING PLACES: Kediri - Because of the forthcoming 1997 Indonesian elections the Alun alun (town square) in Jalan Jenderal Sudirman is no longer being used. Samarinda - Mesra Indah shopping centre (2nd floor corridor) every Saturday night. - Every Sunday night at the Patung Pesut Mahakam. - Every Monday night at the Terapung Disco. 4. The IGS (Yogyakarta) has a new organizing committee. The group now consists of: Endi (chair), Bambang (deputy), Song (treasurer), Fajar (secretary), Petrus (Public relations), Akhmad (publications), Hudi (events), Yoyok (sport & recreation), Widi (events). 5. BIGS (Batam) regret having to temporarily disband, but are organizing themselves for a return to the network. 6. The International Gender Transient Affinity (IGTA) from the U.K. would like to make contact with Indonesian transgenders through JLGI. IGTA feel they have not successfully made contact with transgenders through the Indonesian transgender organisation. Meanwhile a parade has been planned for Tokyo on the 25/8/96. 8. During 13-16 September 1996 there will be the International Gay Conference in Munich, Germany. The IGC hopes to rival ILGA. An AIDS seminar was held at the Social and Political Faculty (FISIP) of Airlangga University on 27/6/96. 2. A seminar by the Indonesian Universities Medical Students' Senate will be held in Denpasar, Bali 5/9/96. They have invited Dede Oetomo as guest speaker. 3.
