Lentera PKBI-Yogyakarta [an AIDS service organization] organised a program entitled "An Evening of Blue Romance" on 9 March 1996 at Wisma Hastarengga, Kaliurang, Yogyakarta. 2. IPOOS-Jakarta organised a poll for the "Gay Guy of Today" on 20 March 1996 at Klimaxx Disco. 3. PACT [an international funding agency] in Jakarta arranged a program "Halal Bihalal" (the traditional forgiveness at the end of Ramadan) on 20 March 1996. 4. We have received news that there is a group in Semarang called GUCHI which has published a magazine entitled "Home Boy". If anyone has any further information on this group, could they kindly inform GN. HEALTH GN is arranging a simple ritual meal in the framework of "Nusantara '96 AIDS Memorial Evenings", as part of the 13th International Candlelight Memorial, on 20 May 1996 at Jalan Mulyosari Timur 46, Surabaya 60112. PUBLICATION GN magazine is already obtainable in general bookshops, but for the moment only in Surabaya (information on this appears in GN No.44). PUBLIC RELATIONS A comment by Dede Oetomo appeared in the tabloid "Nyata" ('Reality'), No.1292, 4th week of March 1996 (p.2), in an article entitled "The lesbian community inclines towards being a closed community", in connection with their report on the 'lesbian marriage' of Suti Karno (a soap opera star).
