TIJUANA, Mexico -- Tijuana's gay-community-based AIDS clinic, ACOSIDA
(the Spanish acronym for Alliance Against AIDS), has run out of several
drugs and is seeking donations.

	The drugs needed are:

	* Zovirax (acyclovir), 200 mg and 800 mg

	* Elavil (amitriptyline HCI), 10 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg

	* Videx (DDI)

	* Hivid (DDC/zalcitabine)

	* Megace (megestrol)

	* Dicloxacillin

	* Ferrous Sulfate, 325 mg

	* ordinary multivitamins

	* and interferon (refrigerated).

	Historically, most of ACOSIDA's drugs have come from southern
California via three underground routes:

	* from individuals who accumulate more pharmaceuticals than they
need

	* from persons who stop taking a medication and have some left over

	* and from the bedsides of people who have died.
