That denial was based on its (i.e., the Government's) understanding of the provisions of Article 78 of Honduras' Constitution, which qualifies the right to association/assembly on the basis of public order and public morality. According to my latest information, the Government has either denied the group's request entirely, or is prolonging a supposed "study" of the issue. We are in extremely urgent need of updated information on the foregoing, and any and all assistance would be most gratefully appreciated. Kindest regards. Sincerely, Bill Courson Executive Director HIRSCHFELD CENTRE ---- End Forwarded Message To unsubscribe send a message to the address: hrights-request@lists.best.com that says: unsubscribe If you need help, write to marga@derechos.org
