Both are very active in Brazilian Gay, Lesbian and Transvestite Association. Last week, Federal Police arrested David Harrad because his visa was finnished. Brazilian g/l movement sent hundreds of letters to the authorities denouncing that DAvid and Toni tryed to legalize their civil union, but received negation because they are homosexual. Politicians and some important TV show persons protested without results. David Harrad must pay a fine and cross the border of Brazil/Paraguay to receive a new turistic visa. At Congress, Deputy Marta Suplicy presented a project of law legalizing the civil union of persons of the same sex: probably this project will be discussed still this year. Letters of protest/support can be send to: Grupo Dignidade - Box 1095 - Curitiba, Parana, BRAZIL. This message was sent by Luiz Mott, Secretary of Human RIghts of Brazilian Gay, Lesbian and Transvestite Association.
