I NATIONAL MEETING OF LESBIANS, GAYS, TRANSVESTITES AND
TRANSEXUALS.

On April 4-7 the I National Meeting of L/G/T/T will take place
in Rosario, one of Argentina's most important cities. The
Meeting is organized by practically all groups and
organizations currently working on l/g/t/t issues in the
country.

The different communities are actively using their informal
networks to spread the news of the Meeting among the many
l/g/t/t living isolated in cities and villages miles away from
Buenos Aires. Costs will be minimum and the press will not be
allowed to enter the premises where the Meeting is taking
place, in order to protect attendees' privacy. There will be a
press conference once the Meeting is over.

Many workshops have been already proposed:

- Discrimination towards transgender people
- Prostitution
- Young lesbians and gays
- Homosexuality and AIDS
- Lesbians' life stories
- Gender diversity in our community
- We and our prejudices
- Living with HIV/AIDS
- Gay/lesbian ideology
- Contextualized action strategies
- Erotism and activism
- What the Bible says and do not say on homosexuality
- Lesbians and leadership
- Interaction among different segments of our community
- Media and homosexuality
- Legal defence
- Strategical planning on HIV/AIDS

There will also be cultural activities, dances and a few
surprises.

The Meeting is open to l/g/t/t from other countries who are
