LCC celebrated an incredible victory in this year's election. Republicans captured the State Assembly, and held on to the State Senate. LCC and its members were directly involved in both efforts by contributing $300 to the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee, over $200 to Rep. Scott Jensen's campaign, and over $200 to Rep. Scott Walker's campaign (both of whom used their campaign funds to support other Republican candidates in critical districts because they had no opponents). Over $200 and countless hours of volunteer time went to Senator Peggy Rosenzweig, whose victory enabled the Republicans to retain control over the State Senate. LCC also celebrated the amazing takeover of the US Senate and House of Representatives by the Republicans. While LCC's contribution of over $3,500 toward that effort (through donations to Bob Welch's US Senate Campaign) did not directly assist that takeover, LCC was part of the Republic [sic] revolution. The National Log Cabin Republican (LCR) has asked that each regional club have at least two members of the Lincoln Club (which means pledging $1,200 to LCR during one year). Other donor levels are available as well: $600, $300 and $120 for the year. Please consider making any donation you can be [sic] contacting Jim McFarland at (414) 299-2720. Or, send a check made payable to the Log Cabin Republicans to Jim at 1133 East Pleasant, #206, Milwaukee, WI 53202. --30-- COMMENT: Ah yes, the Log Cabin Q*****s are celebrating a great revolution. And what have they accomplished besides satisfying their greed and protecting their fortunes? Already Jesse Helms has introduced two of his famous anti-gay propaganda bills. The last such Helms bills were stopped only in committee by liberal Democrats. But with the Repugnacan majorities, it is possible that the liberals won't be able to stop these new Helms bills. Thanks a lot, Log cabin Q****s. And what have Log Cabin Q****s done for Wisconsin gays? Last year, because of Repugnacan control of the Wisconsin Senate, gay-supportive measures at the University of Wisconsin were forbidden through political intervention. And as you see above, the Log Cabin Q****s are bragging that they helped Repugnacans retain control of the Wisconsin Senate. Wisconsin has a Repugnacan Governor selling prison labor to enrich those who contributed to his campaign, and who wants to take away $200 monthly support payments from 6,000 welfare cases in Milwaukee County who are mainly single men (and from a similar number elsewhere in the state). Thanks to Log Cabin Q****s he will probably be able to do this. What will 6,000 desperate single men do? Ah... they can turn to robbery and then enlarge the pool of slave prison labor to reward Repugnacan campaign contributors.
