Date: Thu, 21 Jan 1999 22:58:01 -0800 From: Eros Publishing Subject: Letter To The Editor Thank you for the opportunity to represent the Seattle Men's Leather Community this past year. Although I have been an active member of the leather community for over 11 years helping produce numerous events and attending functions all over the world, nothing could have prepared me for this experience. I knew I would work hard, planning and executing fundraisers, participating at more meetings than I could count, speaking on panels…the list goes on. I also knew that I would have fun, marching in parades, travelling to other cities as a titleholder, hosting play parties…this list goes on too! Being a titleholder can be a lot of work and a lot of fun. What came, as a surprise was how much fun the work was and how much work the fun was! As a person who has spent much of his Leather life backstage and out of the limelight, I have learned a lot this year about standing up and letting my voice and my opinions be heard. By putting myself out there, I had amazing experiences and met some incredible people. I wouldn't trade this last year for anything. My support system has been fantastic this year and I would like to thank a just few of them by name. My partner, James Loewen for his love and encouragement; my Leather Da, O'rion Xcalibur for his wisdom and guidance; Aubrey Hart Sparks for his guidance and wit; Greta Schwerdtfegger and Hobbit Smith for their generosity and laughter. Thank you again for this fantastic year. I encourage you all to get involved. In Leather Brotherhood, Billy Lane http://www.leatherdaddy.com/aubrey.htm
