May 12 through June 15, At Beyond The Edge Cafe located at 703 E. Pike. Call 325- 6829 for information. Different Lovers, a series of drawings and prints by W. S. Fisher, provides a vision of eroticism implicit in issues of dominance and submission, utilizing imagery which is primal and relevant to our contemporary urban landscape. It is a visual exploration of both the subconscious and explicit ways that the power gradient can manifest itself in sexual relationships. W. S. Fisher has been a professional artist and illustrator since 1972. Working primarily in acrylic, ink and prismacolor pencil, he draws upon both mythic and mundane sources. The style is representational and quite graphic, relying on symbology to convey meaning rather than technique. His work has been featured in Ecstasy Magazine, PFIQ and other publications, as well as gallery shows in Seattle and Ann Harbor.
