Notes from personal trips, spring 1994

There are several gay and mixed B&Bs on Capital Hill, where the largest
concentration of Gay businesses are located.

Main strips in Capitol Hill:

1. Broadway (between E. Pike and E. Prospect).  Take I-5 to Olive Way or 
Denny.  Go East, up hill and away from downtown.  Broadway is about 10
blocks to the east of I-5.

2. E. Pike (between Harvard and 13th).  Take I-5 to Pine/Pike/Union ;
Go East, up hill and away from downtown.

Clubs:

CC Slaughter, E. Pike at 15th Ave and Madison.  "Liquor bar, restaurant,
unique videos in lounge. 24 hrs Fri/Sat."

The Cuff, 1533 13th Ave between pine and pike.  "Levis, leather, pool table."

Elite II, 1658 E. Olive Way.  "Pool table, darts, microbrew, mixed crowd."

Hombres, 1413 14th Ave.  "Pool, pinball, darts, imported beers, live DJ."

Neighbours, 1509 Broaday at Pike.  "Your music, your friends, your
neighbours.  Voted best place for men to meet men in [some Seattle mag]."

Re-bar, 1114 Howell at Boren Ave (roughly 1 block  WEST of I-5). "Mon:
surrealistic noise; tue: live music; wed: world beat; thu: queer disco;
fri: macambo lounce; sat: queens night out."

Spags, 1118 E. Pike. "Cold beer, pool table, neighborhood atmosphere."

Tugs-the New Tugs, 518 E. Pine at Belmont, 3 blk WEST of Broadway.
"Video bar, dancing."

Zorba Foo's Rhythm Bar, 2040 Westlake Ave. N.  "Ecclectic mix,
hip/hous/R&B, huge dance floor, lakeside view, killer sound/lights."
