I definitely recommend going to Index (1 hr. NE of Seattle); it is a GAY
campground.  And it is very campy!  It is isolated in the deep woods, very
lush, and very popular in the summer.  Gays only.  On the river; some
rafting; clothes-optional "beach" (very rocky); and the backwoods serve as
a backroom, if you know what I mean.  The campsites people build (for the
summer) are very elaborate and many have all the comforts of home.  But
you can pitch a tent for a few days if you like, for $10/person/day.  (No
services provided except outhouses).  It's much fun, but it will only be
in its current location through summer 1995.  (There are also a few gay
beaches in Seattle (one nude, another mostly for lesbians)).
