Subject: Tennessee Sodomy Law Ruled Unconstitutional - 1/26/96

Everyone,

I just received word from my attorney that the appealate court has
handed down its decision regarding the challenge to Tennessee State
Homosexual Acts Law filed by myself and 5 other plaintiffs. This case
has been winding its way through the Tennessee courts for the last 3.5
years. Today's judgement applies only to Davidson County (Nashville, TN)
, the next step is the State Supreme Court. We won this round, and every
round so far. Hopefully the State will appeal so the case can be refered
to the State Supreme Court so it can be ruled unconstitutional for the
entire State of Tennessee.
