In May 1996 the Greenville, SC County Council passed an antigay resolution. To celebrate individual liberty and equality under the law, the 1997 South Carollina Gay and Lesbian Pride march has been moved to Greenville. The march is scheduled for April 19 and 5,000 participants are expected. By marching for diversity, tolerance and inclusion, under the theme "Created Equal," participants are not soliciting special rights for any group. Rather, we are demonstrating our commitment to common rights for all. Support of any kind is welcome. Our web address is http://www.carol.net/gaypride.
