Some support from surrounding towns. Could use more funding in efforts. Cottage Grove -- efforts have kept measure off the June ballot. Well organized on our part. Eugene people are helpful. (whew). Need to be ready for next effort by OCA. Roseburg -- need more volunteers to cover the 57,000 voter base. Funding wouldn't hurt either. Local organizers are strong ... we need to foster this. Grants Pass -- vote slated for September. Strong organization for us in place. Paid co-ordinators in place for two months. More funding would extend this help. Medford -- on September ballot. Incredible volunteer base. Need better organizating to get out from under their structuredness. Paid co-ordinators might do a lot here. Funding would help that. Klamath Falls -- .court challenges helped block ballot measure. Plus they failed to get enough signatures for the September ballot! (Yes!) Umatilla -- .court decision has thwarted the OCA. They may stay out of here because of that. Training and organizing is now being put in place by us, just in case. Pendleton -- court decision has thwarted the OCA. Geographically a huge county. 3 mailing pieces being sent out prior to elections. No effective recruiting in place. Need help, need volunteers. Josephine County -- vote slated for June.
