This was pulled off of soc.motss ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- This is an editorial from the Saturday 7/31 Oregonian. It talks about the final vote from the June 29 election in Junction City, Oregon... "Junction City residents learned the value of every vote just last month. While 61 percent of the city's registered voters cast ballots June 29, one vote provided the winning margin, 631 to 630, for an anti-gay rights initiative. As the Eugene Register-Guard editorial page noted Sunday: 'Everyone who opposed the measure but didn't vote has cause for regret. And all of the measure's supporters who did vote can feel their votes were vital, because they were - it wouldn't have passed without each one of them.'"
