E-PAGE

Mission Statement:
 
E-PAGE (Electronic-Political Action in the Gay Environment) is a
group of technically knowledgeable professionals providing task-
oriented electronics and networking support to pro-active gay-
related human-rights organizations.
 
E-PAGE has assessed the areas of expertise we KNOW that current
E-PAGE volunteers possess. In general terms, we have arrived at
the following four (4) categories:

                         Liaison
                         Consulting
                         Database Services
                         Newsletter
 
Skills or areas of expertise we found to be needed and/or
desired, we "plugged into" these categories as follows:
 
I. Liaison
 
Internet access: as much communications as possible between
                 various groups should take place electronically;
Research: Including media research, research of existent
          databases and reseraching other organizations;
Personnel: One-to-one contact with individuals in various
           organizations, who may have or be able to access
           useful information.
 
II. Consulting
 
Fairly self-explanatory, but...will provide organizational Needs
Assessments for hardware/software/applications, etc., in order to
determine function and focus of the organization(s) and, thereby,
their needs in terms of electronic equipment as well as how we
can assist them.
 
III. Database Services
 
Potential databases to be organized, "fed", maintained and
accessed as needed:
 
     *    Top 1%: Political/Media/Community "Movers & Shakers"
     *    Informational Library
     *    Media Contacts/"Media Watch"
     *    Events Listing (who's doing what, where and when)
     *    Groups (a coherent and current listing of all
          accessible groups, their focus, contact person and
          contact information, as well as other pertinent data)
 
IV. Newsletter
 
Regular compilation and packaging of information, in electronic
newsletter format, about regional, intra- and interstate
organizational groups (specific functional area, specific focus
areas/groups, areas of expertise, current progress, forthcoming
events, contact information). May also be hard-copied for
inclusion with regional papers.
