Cornell University has recently approved a graduate minor in Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Studies. We're far away from having our own separate program. But if you are accepted to do graduate work in a graduate department then you can, probably, have as a minor field Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Studies. The most amenable department is English -- they also have their own lesbian, gay and bisexual field within the department. I'm in the Government Department and I do this kind of work. There's a fairly organized group of graduate students and faculty who've been working on instituting LBG studies here at Cornell. This year we've organized a speakers series which included Eve Sedgewick, Judith Butler, Marlon Riggs, George Chauncy, Minnie Bruce Pratt, David Halperin, Jonathon Goldberg. And we usually have an on-going colloquium or conference every year.
