Please help them if you can; spread the word. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Casti Pager: (800) 980-6227 Information Scientist http://www.casti.com/casti/David.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by: DeniseMrie@aol.com Hi all, Nathan Adams, the new President of GLF here in Biloxi has asked me to release the following info. The GLF has been drained of funds. Bills, rent, and other items have gone unpaid since January. Ms April Richards left town and became unreachable just before these facts were uncovered. Charges have been filed on behalf of GLF against Ms Richards charging her with the theft of GLF check books. Checks from the stolen check books have been turning up in MS, AL, and I think, FL but I am not sure of this last state. At least one of the vendors (A major grocery chain) has asked GLF to sign paperwork allowing them to pursue collection of the bad check. The checking account that the stolen checks are written against has been closed since mid February. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Ms Richards, or having further questions should contact GLF at 601-435-2398. Please ask for Nathan Adams. If he is not in, he will try to return your call as soon as possible. I will try and keep everyone posted on further events. As of now, the new officers and board have managed to scrape together enough money to pay the January/February rent and utilities. The new officers were picked specifically to include persons who are financially and emotionally stable. This will hopefully deter further problems. They are committed to bringing the focus of GLF back to the Gulf Coast community. GLF was founded to provide a meeting place for persons on the Gulf Coast and that mission has been SERIOUSLY endangered by these events. I will be leaving the state in June and will be turning over our internet mail to a new contact shortly. Please help us if you can. I realize that this is a bitter story for many of you to swallow after giving so much of yourselves. I can only hope that the new officers and board can do enough to restore the trust you showed in us in recent months. Thanks, Denise Marie G.
