Tony Kushner, Pulitzer Prize winning author of Angels in America, writes "Gays
and the Military is a fascinating and useful book. The various documents assem-
bled here --historical, juridical, psychological, and biological -- make an
irrefutable case against current government policy regarding gays and lesbians
in the armed forces."

The volume contains all of the scholarly affidavits submitted inthe case, the
briefs, Judge Oliver Gasch's execrable decision and an introductory essay by
Marc Wolinsky (Steffan's lawyer) and Kenneth Sherrill. All royalties will be
donated to Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund. The paperback edition,
which was displayed at last week's APSA meeting is $14.95. The clothbound
edition will be out in about a month, due to production delays and will cost
$39.50.
