This year marks the 25th anniversary of King's "Battle of the Sexes" victory against Bobby Riggs, the most largely attended tennis match ever. King is one of the greatest tennis players of all time. She is the winner of 20 Wimbledon titles in singles and doubles. She is currently the director and official spokesperson of World TeamTennis. Community Award Recipients: Mark Doty is an acclaimed author of five books of poetry. He is the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and was a National Book Award finalist for My Alexandria. Doty's memoir, Heaven's Coast, was named Notable Book of the Year by the New York Times Book Review. Alix Ritchie is publisher of the Provincetown Banner. Ritchie is involved in a number of local organizations and efforts including the Cape Cod Economic Development Council, the Cape Cod National Seashore Advisory Commission, and the Environmental League of Massachusetts. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Citizen of the Year by the Provincetown Business Guild and Affairs Person of the Year by the New England Association of Regional Councils.
