Harvard had the insensitivity to announce the selection of Gen. Colin
Powell as this year's Commencement speaker just as the campus-wide
Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Awareness Days (BGLAD) were beginning.

Powell, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is an outspoken supporter
of the military's ban on gay men and lesbians.
