Date: Thu, 23 Feb 1995 08:37:47 -0600 (CST) From: Kevyn Jacobs Subject: KSU CULTURAL STUDIES SYMPOSIUM, MARCH 9-11 To: "Manhattan Queers Email List [MQ]" On March 9-11, KSU's Program in Cultural Studies will be hosting its 4th annual Cultural Studies Symposium. There are two events that I thought local lesbian, gay, and bisexual people might take an interest in: 1) Bob Clark's panel on "Medieval Studies and Cultural Studies," scheduled for Thursday afternoon, March 9th, 2:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Bob has organized a really fascinating panel (as you might expect). 2) A session titled "Sex Education: Feminism and Queer Theory in the Classroom" -- a session devoted to discussing various gay/lesbian/bisexual and feminist issues as they are brought up in and are a part of the classroom. The session is scheduled for Friday, March 10th, 8:45 - 10:00 a.m. in Room 212 of the K-State Union. It should be fun. Really. If you'd like to register for the conference and attend all the various sessions, you may register at the conference in Union Room 203 anytime during the conference. If you'd like to drop in on just a session or two, you can just show up -- no charge, no registration, no problem. If you'd like more information about the conference, feel free to contact Greg Eiselein at 532-0386 (w) or 587-9792 (h). If you are at all interested, you are invited to attend. We'd love to see you there.
