"We are trying to offer Lesbians and Gays opportunities to interact with each other," said Sam Van Leeuwen, of Unity and Pride. "Right now, the only alternatives involve going to bars, which just aren't for everyone." Van Leeuwen said Unity and Pride is interested in organizing volleyball, bowling, running and book discussion leagues or groups and encourages people interested in these activities to contact the alliance.
