Sheila Hochhauser, state representative, and Nancy Brown, former state representative and now executive 2director of the Mainstream Coalition in Johnson County, will be guest speakers. Discussion will center on the emergence of the Religious Right in Kansas, the significance of the RRR for Jews in Kansas, and discuss the possible formation of a Mainstream Coalition in Riley County. This coalition would work to make sure that a positive alternative to the RRR and making certain that non-Right candidates for school board and city elections in April. The Mainstream Coalition in Johnson County is a broad group of mainstream Jews and Christians who are concerned about the increase in power of the intolerant Right.
