(Feb. 28) We need to be watching these elections closely - this is how the RRR has been gaining power, by taking over one school board, one city commission at a time. If you haven't registered to vote DO IT NOW! You can register at the Manhattan Public Library, Dillon's, the post office, or the county courthouse. In local elections, ONE vote can make the difference! There will be two (possibly three) candidates forums between now and the primary: FEB 19: FLINT HILLS MAINSTRAM COALITION FORUM, time and location TBA FEB 24: ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS' PTO-PTA, 7-9 pm, Amanda Arnold Elem. Plan on going. Get to know the candidates. And be ready to ask some tough questions on RRR topics: SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION POSSIBLE AREAS FOR QUESTIONS Outcome Based Education Creationism Religious Observances/School Prayer Sex Education Censorship Vouchers =============================================================== The candidates running are listed below.
