Joan is an outstandingly vocal supporter of Gay & Lesbian Kansas and has long been an ally of our communities. Joan faces Jim Slattery in the upcoming Gubenatorial primary. She needs our votes to overcome Slattery, a politician who has been VERY wishy-washy on our issues. Joan will be in Manhattan for a "family" garden party on July 18, to allow members of thge Manhattan community to get to know her. There will be no admission charge, and Joan won't be making speeches - just a low-key garden party so she can talk to YOU about what YOU need from your governor. Please come if cou can!
