Following is the complete text of a letter I received from Representative Jim
D. Garner of Coffeyville, in response to an "anti-CornPhelps" postcard I
mailed to him.


                                            13 November 1993

Dear Kevyn:

     Thank you for the post card expressing your concern about the proposed
anti-gay Cornfield Resolution.

     As you may know, many members of the Kansas House (myself included) are
not looking forward to addressing this issue.  This resolution is purely a
political ploy to be used against those who vote against it in the coming
election year.

     Again, I thank you for taking the time to share your views with me. I
appreciate the input and will definitely keep your concerns in mind if this
matter should come before the floor of the House of Representatives.
