The meeting site is the city fire department building located at 2000 Denison. As always, the Title II Consortium and the Public Information and Education committees will meet from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The afternoon session will begin at 1:15 p.m. (Once again, I have added a few extra minutes to the lunch break to allow for travel time to and from area restaurants.) As of this writing, the general session will include three presentations: 1) results of a HIV prevention needs assessment conducted by UMKC; 2) an overview of an HIV prevention conference for Native American youth; and 3) highlights of technological developments and challenges as presented at a conference of laboratory staff. We will also review developments in federal legislation. To find the meeting location, take highway 177 and continue north on highway 24 until you reach Kimball. Drive west on Kimball to Denison. This route will help you avoid university area traffic. I hope you will plan on attending. Please feel free to share information about this meeting with others who might be interested. Yours truly, Sally Finney Brazier AIDS Director
