Remember that we have lost a major battle, but when we were six months out and looking ahead, we knew that the Legislature would be our biggest fight. We also knew that if the Conservatives held their position, we would prevail. We also knew that if the Conservatives buckled, we would be in jeopardy. Well, the Conservatives buckled, and our side in the Legislature had to meet them. If you need a graphic example of what we in Hawai`i have been able to accomplish, get a good mental picture of this: Jay Sekulow arguing *FOR* domestic partnerships. All I can say is that it is too early for any kind of reaction of the magnitude of which you speak. But, you might want to start getting a list of those travel agents ready. Mahalo for your support, A hui hou, Martin P.S.--love your signature line!! I'ld like to use it sometime for mine. Can I quote you. > >Just a thought.
