And it starts with a blatant lie. It says "In 1990, homosexual activists from the mainland" came to Hawaii to seek marriage rights because Hawaii was the most likely state in which to succeed. As anyone involved in the campaign knows, (and Bill Woods is always too willing to tell you) it was Bill Woods who started the whole thing, and mainland gay rights groups refused to assist because they thought it was a lost cause and would never succeed (we showed them, didn't we!?!). I immediately called KHNL 8, the channel on which I saw the ad and voiced my complaint. I also have tried sending a written e-mail complaint (I have KHON's e-mail, which is news@khon.com, so I tried news@khnl.com but don't know yet whether that worked). I recommend everyone watch for the ad and call immediately to complain about the lies. KHNL's offices are reachable at 847-3246 during the day. Other times, call the news room at 847-1112. ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
