Date: Thu, 29 Jan 1998 17:25:24 -0800 From: Eros Publishing Subject: Press Release I'm coming! er ...uh.... I mean... possibly to a town near you. Through the grace of my first frequent flyer trip and helpful friends, I will be visiting Atlanta, Columbus, Chicago, Toronto, New York and Baltimore starting mid-March. I'm presenting an explosive evening of sexual art, politics and history in photographs and text, documenting the last 20 years of my life in San Francisco's gay radical sex underground. My work reflects the tremendous changes that have occurred in our communities from sexual excess, to devastation and loss, through spiritual exploration and back to sexual healing. My photoraphs are socially conscious, politically provocative, sexually explicit and artistically taboo. Ok.... I'll stop plugging myself. ; ) I'll be selling and signing copies of my book of gay radical sex photographs, "Diary of a Thought Criminal." Softcovers are $30 and a limited number of hardcovers will be available for $50. I won't be carrying them, but I also have five books left from an edition of 26 books bound in black leather. Those are $350. I live far too close to the edge and there are many things that I still need to complete before this trip. If you believe as I do that even in 1998, saying that you believe in the power and beauty of sex, sexuality and eroticism is an act of social and political revolution, your help and support is needed. Things you can do to help me: The easiest thing you can do is to come out, support me and bring your friends. Or buy a book. (Or a photograph! ) Pass the word to friends, associates and partners in crimes : ) If you're on an appropriate emailing list, please forward this email or summarize it and pass it on. If you're a member of a local radical sex/leather/sm/alternative artist group, inform your members through your newsletter or send them flyers (I'll be happy to provide you with a hot flyer). If you know interpreters for the deaf who'd be willing to interpret the talk or ways to get the word out to the deaf leather community, in your area, get in touch. And if you're an angel (or even a devil ), financial donations to support radical work are always welcome. Or make me a proposition that I can't refuse. ; ) I am always looking to meet *interesting* people. Mark I. Chester http://www.best.com/~mchester/ My itinerary- Atlanta 3/18-3/21 Thurs.
