In fact, Cook has refused to discuss the tapes, let alone ask for a copy, and on November 14, 1995, Professor Ron Lawson sent you a 5,400 word letter outlining the Cook phone-sex tapes as well as Cook's long history of child molestation, and offering to share any and all information with you. You never responded to his letter. Likewise, you have never responded to any of my letters. Furthermore, you were quoted in the December 4, 1995, issue of the Colorado Springs Independent as saying, "If I were to listen to those tapes, it would be like wading in the cesspool anyway." Will, let's make the record perfectly clear: Professor Ron Lawson will provide you with the phone-sex tapes and any other information available about sexual molestations by your "ex-gay" minister Colin Cook anytime you ask. You have our phone numbers. We also continue to beseech you, Will, as we have since last November, to investigate Colin Cook, to withdraw CFV's endorsement of Cook, and to apologize to and alert all the families to whom you have promoted Cook as a wonderful counselor to sexually troubled youth. Colin Cook has said that his Denver-based, unlicensed, "sex-counseling" service has doubled since last November. You and Colorado for Family Values have played a large part in this tragedy by refusing to investigate Cook, saying CFV "does believe the allegations against Colin Cook" and refusing to withdraw CFV's endorsement of Cook. Children's lives are at risk, Will; don't sweep this under the carpet. Sincerely, Richard Cendo Colorado President GLAIL
