Austin Cablevision, their cable company, has announced that it will be adding the KGAY Radio Network to its cable FM lineup as of Friday, June 25. Customers with an FM hookup can listen to the station's 24-hour programming by tuning their stereos to 95.1 FM. Why can't we (especially in West Hollywood) get the same kind of set-up? Century Cable says it's because they don't know of enough support from the community. However, they would be happy to offer the service if they got enough letters asking for KGAY. KGAY provides news, entertainment and commentary originated by, and directed toward, the gay and lesbian community. While alternative music is a stapel of the station's format, KGAY also features a dance music program together with their news and discussion, and the music mix includes songs by gay and lesbian artists not commonly heard on other stations. But I'm sure that they would be equally accommodating if they got enough letters!! -Brian =Brian Nunes=*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* 7985 Santa Monica Blvd. #109-473 West Hollywood, CA 90046-5112 Messages to one of the following electronic addresses will receive expedited replies.
