They are investigating the death as a homicide. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition having lain undiscovered for more than a week. An unnamed person had asked police to check Mr. Bodfish's home. Police have yet to identify a suspect or a possible motive in the death. ### SUPREME COURT DENIES APPEAL OF BRANDON TEENA'S MURDERER ============================================== [Washington, D.C.: 6 Jul 99] THE U.S. SUPREME Court has declined, without comment, to hear the appeal of John Lotter, who was convicted on 21 Feb 96 of the murder of transman Brandon Teena. Lotter was convicted of killing Brandon Teena, 21, Lisa Lambert, 24, and Phillip DeVine, 22. Testimony of his accomplice, Thomas Nissen, helped convict Lotter. Nissen pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3 consecutive life terms. Lotter was sentenced to death. ### Subscriptions.
