Dear Editors:

We were disturbed by comments from the Center for
Reclaiming America that their "Truth In Love" ads are
being shown in Washington, DC because "that's where
the policy makers are." There is no
constitutionally-appropriate reason for policy-makers
to be seeing an ad about people changing their sexual
behavior through religious conversion. We are all
entitled to equal protection under the law regardless
of consensual sexual behavior, religious belief or
affiliation.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom

The above letter went out on IWG letterhead listing 17 congregations and
organizations and 61 clergy from 15 religious traditions. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.
