Dear Editors:

Thank you very much for publishing "Two Moms for Zack"
in your February issue. The ordinary lives and
extrordinary struggles of same-gender couples and
their families are all-too-frequently ignored in
mainstream publications, but you presented a story
that was both personally touching and generally
informative. One issue that was not covered in the
story was the difficulty that some families have in
finding a religious home. We provide referals by
email (iwg@libertynet.org) for same-gender couples who
are seeking a welcoming congregation.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom

The above letter went out on IWG letterhead listing 17 congregations and
organizations and 61 clergy from 15 religious traditions. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.
