Dear Editors:

There are two truths which Janet Folger is
trying to obscure: one is that plenty of gay and
lesbian people live perfectly happy and healthy
lives, many of them as members of welcoming religious
communities; and the other is that everyone has a
constitutionally-guaranteed right to equal treatment
under the law, regardless of their sexual
orientation, no matter what the origin(s) of sexual
orientation may be.

Sincerely,

The above letter went out on IWG letterhead listing 16 congregations and
organizations and 60 clergy from 15 religious traditions. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.
