Dear Editors:

The whole ex-gay ad campaign, in its attempt to focus
on whether sexual orientation can be changed,
completely misses a very important point: Religion is a
matter of choice; people change their religions, and
there are lifestyle choices associated with particular
religions. The Center for Reclaiming America and the
Christian Coalition aren't proposing that religious
choices shouldn't be legally protected. Or are they?
Those groups have consistently pushed for policies that
favor only those who have made religious choices they
agree with.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
