The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 9 congregations and religious
organizations and 38 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Ms. Munich:

Over the last two years the coverage of gay-related
issues on Channel 6 has improved dramatically and we
have been encouraged by the station's willingness to
demonstrate the diversity of opinion on social issues,
especially among people of faith. Thus, we are
puzzled by your refusal to air a commercial which
discusses only the number of states that do not ban
job discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
Polls have consistently shown that the public is as
uninformed about the legal status of sexual minorities
as they are about the diversity of religious opinion
on the subject. We would be very interested in
knowing what WPVI's standard is for determining
whether a commercial is "controversial."

Sincerely,
