The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 49 clergy from 14 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Misses Winans:

We were extremely disappointed to learn of your
decision not to meet with fellow Christians to discuss
the reality and morality of sexual orientation. Same-
gender attraction is very natural. We too fear for
that 10-year-old girl you mentioned. We worry about
how she will grow up being told that she is not
natural, or that God condemns in her the same drives
that were given to all of us. We hope you will at the
very least understand that there are very serious and
committed people who have decided that when we thought
we heard God condemning all same-gender sexual
relationships, we weren't listening closely enough.

Sincerely,
