The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 12 congregations and
organizations and 53 clergy from 15 religious traditions. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Editors:

Thank you for your extensive coverage of the struggle
for gay religious rights and the involvement of
religious organizations in the struggle for gay civil
rights. We are continually striving to bring an
understanding of gay rights issues to the religious
community, religious issues to the gay community, and a
gay-friendly religious face to the public at large.
Unfortunately those organizations that are dedicated to
doing exactly the opposite have advertising dollars and
media empires at their disposal. We do have an
extensive web page, www.libertynet.org/~iwg which we
would recommend to your readers who are interested in
more information about the diversity of religious
opinion on gay rights, reproductive freedom, and the
separation of church and state.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
