The following went out on IWG letterhead listing 10 congregations and religious
organizations and 39 clergy from 13 faiths and denominations. If you are in
the general Philadelphia area and represent a congregation or religious
organization or are clergy, let us know if you want to be added - all faiths
are welcome. We will also be happy to help start similar organizations in
other areas.

Dear Mr. Chavez:

Thank you for your column regarding the the letters you
received in response to your comments on sexual
minorities. We hope you realize that there are many
congregations that do not have to "hate the sin and
love the sinner" because they do not believe that same-
gender relationships are inherently sinful or less
moral than mixed-gender relationships.

Within virtually every religion in America there are
houses of worship, clergy and religious organizations
who welcome and affirm gays, lesbians and bisexuals and
their families.

Sincerely,
Barbara Purdom Christopher Purdom
